Hoar

Directed by Jeanette Dilone, HOAR follows a phone sex operator accepted into a PhD program abroad who must confront her codependent, hoarding grandmother. The cinematography leans into dense, layered compositions, allowing the environment to close in around the characters and reinforce a sense of entrapment. In contrast, her bedroom is rendered in cleaner, more open compositions, creating a visual shift in space and control.
