Directed by Elaine Del Valle, Midnight Hustle follows two ballerinas from opposite sides of the tracks who enter the world of nightlife for very different reasons—one from privilege seeking independence, the other out of necessity. As they’re drawn into a world of money, power, and crime, the cinematography uses fluid, continuous movement to unify these themes to within a single moment, unveiling layer by layer what is otherwise hidden to the public eye.
