Directed by Yiran Wang and Jingfan Zhang, Obliquity follows a small-time thief and a precocious young girl forced into an unlikely partnership after discovering a bound woman and a stack of cash in a trunk. Shot entirely on a 12mm lens, the cinematography distorts the world just enough to push the story into absurdity.
